AI in novel writing

My current stance is that I will bounce ideas off of AI (like you might with a person) but I won’t let it touch my prose - not even for spelling or grammar corrections. The writing is all mine. As such, I believe I have no ethical requirement to disclose the use of AI (though I may need to disclose even that depending on a given publisher’s terms).

My reason for not letting AI write for me is mostly that I don’t want to consume AI content myself. The moment I find out anything was generated by an LLM, I quickly lose interest. I don’t want to read books, listen to podcasts, watch movies, or consume pretty much anything that came from AI. I want to know it came from a human being, and I want to write for human beings.
