Touchdown!

I don’t even like football - but I finished my novel! The final word count is 90,205 words.

I created the Scrivener project on my iPad in June of 2025. It was complete on the 30th of November, 2025.

What worked?

Outlining every single scene of the story before I started writing any prose. Also, committing myself to no more than 500 words a day once I did start writing prose.

That’s it.

Now, I’m going to let the novel sit. I’ve written some notes about things I think could have been better, and now I’m going to take a break. Celebrate. Work on something else. Eventually, I’m going to start on my next story idea. I’ll only come back to this story for revisions after a long respite, with fresh eyes.
